Vietnam CR Mark certification
1. What is the Vietnam CR Mark?
CR Mark is a mandatory certification system that ensures the quality, stability, and safety of all products in Vietnam. The Vietnam CR mark certification is regulated by the Vietnam Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ), under the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). The certification process involves testing your product samples against the relevant Vietnamese National Technical Regulations (QCVN) for safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and registering your products with the MOST.
Rules and regulations, all in CR logo certification within the scope of control of electrical products, before entering the Vietnamese market, must through the product testing and inspection for CR logo certificate, and labeled with CR.
2. Who is Certification Body of CR Mark
There are so many certification bodies (CB) in Vietnam but there are two main government certification bodies who can provide reliable and reputable certificates such as: QUACERT and QUATEST.
3. What is the list of goods/products in the CR Mark’s scope?
It depends on type if goods/product that will fall into CR- Safety Mark or CR-EMC Mark. We have to provide HS Code, technical specifications for checking.
CR-Safety Mark’s scope:
• Instantaneous, storage and electrical immersion water heaters
• Electric kettles
• Rice cookers
• Electric fans
• Electric cables and wires (up to 1000 V)
• Electric irons
• Coffee or tea makers
• Microwave ovens
• Hand and hair dryers and other hair-dressing appliances
• Electric grillers and roasters (mobile type)
• Self-ballasted LED lamps with voltage >50 V
• Double-capped LED lamps designed to retrofit linear fluorescent lamps
• Fixed and portable general purpose LED luminaires
CR-EMC Mark’s scope:
• Instantaneous water heaters
• Hand motor operated drill
• Vacuum cleaner
• Washing Machine
• Refrigerator, Freezer
• Air conditioner
• The bulb has a built-in ballast
• Hair dryer
• Meat grinder
• Blender
• Juicer machine
• Egg beater electric
• Induction cooker
• Microwave oven
4. CR Mark certification process
CR- Safety Mark: Typically, this certification will follow Scheme 5 and Scheme 1.
It depends on the quantity and frequency of goods that customers need to export to the Vietnamese market. If the quantity and frequency of goods are large enough, we will certify according to Scheme 5. Validity of certification is: 3 years.

If the quantity and frequency of goods are not large enough, we will certify according to Scheme 7. Validity of certification is only for Lots/Batch.
